- Women under age 18 must comply with Arkansas parental consent law. Minors seeking an abortion may petition a probate judge to be given permission without parental notification.

SAFE HAVEN FOR NEWBORNS
A parent or designated person can leave an unwanted baby up to 30 days old at any medical provider, law enforcement agency or fire station (2-1-1 - 12/24/08) in Arkansas. Safe havens assure safety and well-being for abandoned infants. The receiving agent will contact the Division of Children & Family Services of the Department of Human Services for a dependency action to place the child in a permanent home.
