The mission of FCCLA is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development; creative and critical thinking; interpersonal communication; practical knowledge; and vocational preparation. It is the only student-led organization that focuses on the family as the basic unit of society. It also helps students find the inner leader in themselves and become all they can be.

The Manila High School FCCLA participates in several community betterment projects as well as creating a community outreach network through their web site.

FBLA is a national vocational student organization for students in high schools and middle schools who are interested in business or business education careers. Benefits of membership are leadership skills, business competencies, community responsibilities and self-confidence.

FBLA GOALS:

The Blytheville High School FFA Chapter was chartered in 1928 - 29, the same year as the National organization. In 1926, C.T. Kramer began teaching vocational classes in the Blytheville school system under the Smith-Hughes Act.
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

A school-based, law enforcement officer-instructed classroom curriculum. The program's primary objective is prevention and intended as an immunization against delinquency, youth violence and gang membership.

For 4th- through 8th Graders to become more involved in the Red Cross. Activities include learning First Aid and CPR, fundraising and supply gathering for disaster victims; assembling emergency supply kits for the elderly, sponsoring blood drives and participation in local events.

PURE IS THE CURE (Connection Ministries)Tim & Kim Fulks

The PURPOSE FEST youth rally held Nov. 15, 2008 in Gosnell raised awareness among teens of the importance to living a pure lifestyle while having an opportunity to hang out in a 'pure' environment. Entertainment included several bands and acoustic acts.
Gosnell High School student Amie Nicolle Fulks is the inspiration behind the organization.
A pure lifestyle encompasses not only sexual purity but being free of drugs, alcohol and everything from violence to disrespect.
The funds raised will go towards a Jan. 24, 2009 event. (12/8/08)
