This is a refresher course that helps seniors understand the effects of aging, adapt to changes they may face as they grow older, identify the most common traffic accident causes, reduce chances of having a mishap and possibly realize a savings on auto insurance from 5-14%.
There are no tests or failures with this informative course designed especially for the older driver to update their knowledge and skills. The certification is good for three years and there is a $10 fee. The course book is yours to keep. (2/20/07)

Provides life guard and life saving training (CPR and First Aid). Applicants for life guard certification must be at least 15 years of age,able to swim 300 yards and retrieve a 10-pound weight from the water.

A program that offers assistance to families who have dependent children and need economic assistance to meet education and employment training goals toward a self-sustaining job.

Students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Be an Arkansas resident
  2. Have dependent child(ren) under 21 years of age
  3. Current TEA recipient OR:
  4. be a Food Stamp, Medicare or ARKids recipient OR:
  5. Family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty guideline (about $42,000 annually for a family of three)

  • GED - Free classes designed to prepare adults for successful completion of the General Education Development Test (G.E.D.) for high school certification.
